"Resident" Status Verification Process

All Upper Arlington residents and individuals who are employed within Upper Arlington’s borders (plus members of your household) qualify for the Resident rates. To secure these rates, you should establish (or update) a RecTrac account with Upper Arlington Parks & Recreation, providing details of the members of your household, and providing proof of residency or employment. You can submit proof of residency or employment via the RecTrac account, or you may bring documentation to the Upper Arlington Parks & Recreation Department Office, at 3200 Tremont Road.

Any Resident households that have not been verified will be marked as a Non-Resident household and charged at the Non-Resident rate until this step has been completed.

Child Watch

Beginning May 19, 2025, Child Watch is moving to a more flexible, drop-in system using pre-purchased punch passes—no reservations needed.

Designed for children ages 6 months to 9 years, Child Watch allows parents and guardians to enjoy the Bob Crane Community Center while their children are cared for in a safe, supervised environment. Patrons must remain onsite while using Child Watch services.

Why You’ll Love the New System

  • No Reservations Required – Drop in when it works for you, subject to space availability.
  • Easy Check-In – Scan your child’s BCCC key tag in Child Watch and your visit is automatically deducted.
  • Two-Hour Visits – Each visit covers up to two hours of Child Watch (or until closing time, whichever comes first).
  • Convenient Purchasing – Punch passes are available in 1, 5, or 10-visit increments and can be purchased online or directly in the Child Watch Room.

    Important Notes

    • A completed Participant Registration Form is required for each child before purchasing passes. Forms must be submitted in person in the Child Watch Room.
    • Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis—entry is not guaranteed.
    • Capacity is carefully monitored to ensure safe supervision based on age groups and staffing ratios.
    • If you’re attending a class, we recommend arriving early during peak hours.

      • Available as an add-on to your Bob Crane Community Center membership
      • Auto-debited monthly for unlimited gaming access
    • Single Visit Option

Already have a punch pass? Remaining balances will be refunded to help you transition smoothly to the new system.

Free Play Period: May 17–31, 2025
To celebrate the transition, enjoy free access to the E-Sports Room during the last two weeks of May! Staff will be on hand to help set up gaming accounts and walk you through the new Unlimited Pass system.

The E-Sports Room continues to operate on a drop-in, first-come, first-play basis. Once all 18 stations are in use, a queue will form for the next available PC. Users may play consecutive sessions if space allows.

Ready to play? Visit parks.uaoh.net to add the Unlimited E-Sports Pass to your membership or purchase a single visit pass.

    Programs

    Helpful Information & FAQ’s
    • All programs require pre-registration. We do not currently offer any drop in programs where you can attend without having signed up prior to attending.
    • It is encouraged to sign up early. Most programs have a minimum that must be reached to take place. Cancellations are generally made two to five business days in advance of a program, but sometimes occur further in advance. Some programs have posted registration deadlines.
    • Most programs are available for registration once registration opens. If a special registration date is set for a program, it is noted with the program information. Safety Town is available with Spring/ Summer registration.
    • Registration opens first to verified residents and/ or members of the Bob Crane Community Center. Residents must be verified to register during priority registration to receive the resident rate for all Upper Arlington Parks and Recreation programs, memberships and rentals. To be verified, residents can submit proof of residency documents (driver’s license/state ID, utility bill or rental agreement, etc.) either in their online account or in person to Upper Arlington Parks and Recreation. Any non-residents must be current members of the Bob Crane Community Center to register during priority registration and to receive program resident rates.

Is a membership required to sign up for programs?

No, a Bob Crane Community Center membership is not required for paid program participation. However, nonmembers may not access membership amenities such as the 1918 Lounge and coffee bar, or personal use of the gyms, track, pool or fitness areas/equipment. Non-members may only access programs for which they are pre-registered. A handful of programs are provided as a benefit for Bob Crane Community Center members, and do not require an additional fee beyond the membership. Personal Training services are available to members of the Bob Crane Community Center.

How early may I arrive for my program at the Bob Crane Community Center and may I remain in the building after?

Non-members may enter the building no earlier than 30 minutes before the start of their program and are expected to leave upon its conclusion.

Who may accompany me to my program?

Non-member aides or parents/guardians of youth and their minors may accompany participants to their program locations. Additional instructions are provided to program participants regarding the attendance of other spectators or guests for special programs or events. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out to [email protected] in advance.

What do “R-BCCC M” and “NR” mean under my program next to the pricing?

Two different prices are offered for most programs. The price listed beside R-BCCC M is for verified residents or current members of the Bob Crane Community Center. Non-residents receive the resident rate for programs if they are a member of the Bob Crane Community Center. The BCCC M rate applies to everyone in the household for an online account regardless of the participant registering in programming, and this rate applies to all department programs regardless of location. The price listed beside NR is for non-residents who are not members of the Bob Crane Community Center.

Can I utilize SilverSneakers® and RenewActive™ for discounted membership or programming?

SilverSneakers® and RenewActive™ are accepted for Bob Crane Community Center membership. We also provide SilverSneakers® classes to registered SilverSneakers® participants at no charge.

    Cancellation, Refunds, & Credits Policy
    • Program Cancellations: If we cancel – Upper Arlington Parks and Recreation reserves the right to cancel programs due to insufficient enrollments or other unforeseen circumstances. Participants are notified and full refunds are given. Credit card refunds are issued within three days of the program being cancelled; check refunds – which are issued by the City’s Finance Department – may take up to 30 days from the date the program has been cancelled.

    • Refunds – In order to receive a refund, (minus a $5 processing fee) you must contact Upper Arlington Parks and Recreation at least five full business days in advance of the start date of the originally scheduled program.
